Around Port Stephens

Port Stephens is a coastal blue water wonderland which covers nearly 1,000 squarekilometres in size and approx. 2 .5 hours north of Sydney. The ports beaches are around 2.5 times the size of Sydney Harbour and are surrounded by 26 pristine surf and bay beaches. With so many attractions at hand it’s hard to know where to start.

Choose to do as little or as much as you like…for those with a sense of adventure try the whale or dolphin watching cruises, go surfing, go quad biking or 4WD driving on the sand dunes, horse riding along the beach, para-sailing in the bay, swim with the sharks and rays at the local aquatic centre, try tobogganing, play skirmish, go wild and ride the Go-Karts or perhaps dare to go on helicopter flights over the port and enjoy the breathtaking views.

For the more subdued travelers you can try our local restaurants ( seafood a must ) spend a day at the wineries, go bush walking, check out the shopping, try a sunset picnic on the beach, have a game of golf on our picturesque courses, visit fighter world where you will see displays of aircraft and engines, go back to nature and take the kids to Oakvale Farm and Fauna World where they can interact with a farm full of animals.
